Truth or dare wheel

The wheel has two equal parts, Truth and Dare. When it stops, a question or task is drawn at random from the level you choose. The Mild and Party levels each have 15 truths and 15 dares, with nothing dangerous.

Spin the wheel

Please select “Spin the wheel” or the wheel itself. The option under the pointer when the wheel stops is the result.

How the result is drawn

  1. When you select “Spin the wheel”, the page first draws the result with your browser's crypto.getRandomValues (a cryptographically secure random number generator), then turns the wheel to that option. The number of turns and the stopping point are for display only.
  2. Without weights, every option has the same chance: 1 divided by the number of options. With weights, the chance of an option is its weight divided by the total of all weights, and the wheel is drawn to match.
  3. Random whole numbers are drawn by rejection sampling: a random number outside the range is discarded and drawn again, so no option is favoured.
  4. When “Remove each picked option” is on, a picked option is left out of later spins until you select “Put all back”. Options with the same name are counted separately.
  5. When the wheel stops on Truth or Dare, crypto.getRandomValues draws one question or task from the chosen level. It is not repeated until all of them have been used.

Mild: Dare

  1. Speak in a different accent until your next turn.
  2. Make an animal sound and let the others guess the animal.
  3. Give the person on your left three compliments.
  4. Do 10 squats.
  5. Sing the first two lines of a nursery rhyme.
  6. Imitate someone everyone here knows and let the others guess who it is.
  7. Stand on one leg for 30 seconds.
  8. Introduce yourself for 20 seconds as if you were reading the news.
  9. Start every sentence with “Excuse me” until your next turn.
  10. Mime eating a bowl of noodles for 10 seconds.
  11. Play rock, paper, scissors with the person on your right. The loser sings a line of a song.
  12. Do not smile or laugh until the next turn starts.
  13. Read your latest phone notification aloud in a dramatic voice. Skip anything private.
  14. Write your name in the air with your elbow.
  15. Hold your best superhero pose for 10 seconds.

Party: Truth

  1. Have you ever had a crush on someone here? A yes or no answer is enough.
  2. How old were you when you had your first crush?
  3. Who was the last person you sent a message to, and what did it say?
  4. What is the one thing on your phone that you would not want anyone here to see?
  5. What is the biggest lie you have ever told?
  6. Rate your own looks from 1 to 10.
  7. Which friendship or relationship do you regret ending?
  8. Have you ever complained about someone here behind their back? What about?
  9. What is the silliest thing you have done to impress someone?
  10. Whose social media profile did you last look at? You may leave out the name.
  11. What is the strangest name saved in your contacts?
  12. If you were moving far away tomorrow, what would you say to someone here?
  13. What is the most awkward gift you have ever received?
  14. Who here do you think is the best at keeping secrets?
  15. What is a habit of yours that you hope nobody has noticed?

Party: Dare

  1. Send a friend the message “I was just thinking of you” and read out the reply.
  2. Tell the person on your left, in your most dramatic voice, that they look wonderful today.
  3. Sing the chorus of a love song.
  4. Show everyone the fifth most recent photo in your gallery. Skip any private photo.
  5. Speak only in a whisper until your next turn.
  6. Dance for 15 seconds without music.
  7. Let the person on your right stick a note on your forehead until the game ends.
  8. Imitate a phrase that someone here often uses, and let the others guess who it is.
  9. Hold eye contact with someone here for 30 seconds. Whoever laughs first spins again.
  10. Call a parent on speaker and tell them that you love them.
  11. Say “I am sorry” in three different voices.
  12. Change your profile picture to an image the group chooses, for one hour.
  13. Tell a joke. If nobody laughs, tell another one.
  14. Make up one line of a love song about a word the group chooses, and sing it.
  15. Give a 20-second speech on whether pineapple belongs on pizza.
